Kentucky legislators are more interested in targeting teachers with mental health disorders than in creating laws that improve citizens' lives. If passed, Senate Bill would require teachers to consult an outdated, third edition of the Diagnostic & Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. This could result in them potentially losing their teaching certificate. Critics argue that this is discriminatory since the state has a shortage of teachers.
