Bristol Airport submits expansion plan to North Somerset Council

The chief executive of Bristol Airport, Dave Lees, has submitted a planning application to the North Somerset Council, stating that the proposals align with customers' wishes and that the airport will invest in quieter aircraft technology to reduce noise. About 3,000 residents have already commented on the plans during a public consultation in 2024.
