Sketch released of at-large suspect accused of assaulting 73-year-old on popular trail

Officials have released a sketch of the suspect in a suspected robbery and assault on a Boulder County trail on June 29. The victim, a 73-year-old man, was hiking along the popular Boulder Creek Trail when a male suspect allegedly approached him and accused him of stealing a joint from his girlfriend. The suspect allegedly attacked the victim from behind and left him with serious injuries. The man woke up with his wallet, bank cards, driver’s license, and cash missing. An updated description has been released for the suspect, described as approximately 24 years old, white or hispanic, around 150 pounds, with blonde hair, a lean muscular build, a soft face with “boyish” features, and an unknown accent.
