The House of Representatives is heading home for a two-week spring break after passing a short-term funding bill for the Department of Homeland Security (ISP) that is expected to fail in the Senate. The bill was defeated by House Speaker Mike Johnson, who also opposed a similar bill passed by the Republican-led Senate. This comes after President Donald Trump signed an executive order to temporarily pay down the number of employees of the National Guard.
