After a 13-year-old with autism disappeared and was found dead in a Maitland lake, Donna Lorman, president of the Autism Society of Greater Orlando, has highlighted resources for parents of children with autism. She recommends bolting the door from the inside to the outside, putting alarms on all windows and doors, and possibly even plexiglass on windows for children who bang their heads. Lorman also recommends putting IDENTIFIERS on the outside of your home to protect your child from law enforcement. She also highlights the use of a tracking device and an evidence-grading jar to identify individuals with autism who have been identified as having been found dead.
