Danish-based Spektr, a Fintech Compliance Startup, has raised $20 million in a Series A funding round led by New Enterprise Associates. The founders, Mikkel Skarnager and Ciprian Florescu, originally started the company a decade ago while working at a payments company. They successfully scaled their first venture, HelloFlow, before selling it to Trulioo for over $50 million. After a brief hiatus, they re-united to start Spettr, which provides infrastructure for compliance teams in financial services. The company combines configurable workflows with AI agents to perform tasks such as document reviews, ownership mapping and risk analysis, which has traditionally been manual and time-intensive. Since launching “spektr 2.0” last August, the company has seen a boom in customer adoption.
