NYC teen attacked by kitchen knife-wielding stranger who asked him about gangs: cops

A 17-year-old boy was punched and stabbed by a stranger who asked him about his membership in a gang in Queens. The attacker, who fled the scene and did not identify the victim, was found in a stable condition at the Elmhurst Hospital. This incident comes just a week after an innocent 9-year old boy was shot and injured in a suspected gang-related shooting in Brooklyn.
