The Trump administration has agreed to reinstating the "pride" flag at the Stonewall National Monument in New York City, following a series of lawsuits against the Department of the Interior and the National Park Service. The decision was made after the previous administration had removed the flag, which sparked legal challenges from LGBT activist groups. The Stonewal Inn, which was the birthplace of the modern LGBT movement, saw violent riots in 1969. New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Manhattan Borough President Brad Hoylman-Sigal both praised the decision as a victory for the LGBTQ community and a reminder that New Yorkers won't let history be rewritten.
