Egyptian Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, has ordered businesses to close at least an hour early in an attempt to counterbalance rising oil prices. The rule will take effect on March 28. All Cabinet headquarters buildings will also stop using electricity after 6pm. The move is not directly affected by the conflict but reflects the fact that Egypt is a net energy exporter and is bracing for potential inflationary situation.
