After shooting arrest, Long Beach police find 30 firearms, including ‘ghost guns’

Long Beach, California, police have found 30 firearms in the home of James William Higgins, a suspect in a December shooting near Alamitos Beach, including 12 firearms that they believe did not have serial numbers. No one was injured in the incident, but a nearby residential building was hit by gunfire. Higgins was arrested on suspicion of discharging a firearm at an inhabited dwelling, assault with a firearm, manufacturing or assembling an unregistered firearm, or creating an assault weapon. The weapons were found along with a large quantity of ammunition.
