Francisco Lindor, the Mets' All-Star shortstop, played four innings at shortstop and three plate appearances against the Blue Jays in his first Grapefruit League action this spring after recovering from left hamate bone surgery. Lindor finished 1-for-3 with a single in a game that was called after five innings due to rain. He said he felt "pretty much like myself" and finished the game healthy. Manager Carlos Mendoza said there was no firm timetable for Lindor to begin playing exhibition games due to his rehabilitation and progress in batting against live pitching. He also expressed confidence in his power and said he feels fine and anticipates a test throughout the rest of spring training.
