The University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR) has sued the Trump administration for "unlawful retaliation" against Colorado. The lawsuit accuses the National Science Foundation (NSF), the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) of their directors as defendants. It alleges that these actions pose a direct threat to national security, public safety, and economic prosperity. This lawsuit is part of a larger dispute between the Trump and Colorado over election policy, federal authority, and the future of a major U.s. climate research hub.
