Rudy Gobert praised the Thunder's "mindset" and stated that they need to lift each other up to compete with the reigning NBA champs. This is the second time in over a month that Gobert has publicly questioned his team about their lack of effort, accountability and urgency following a loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. Despite this, the Timberwolves have fallen to sixth in the Western Conference standings and are only two games ahead of the seventh-seeded Phoenix Suns.
