Two-wheeled deliveries surge in San Francisco

Two-wheeled DoorDash deliveries are increasing in San Francisco, outpacing car deliveries. The increase in these deliveries is largely due to the cleaner, quieter and quieter of these vehicles, which also offer a lower cost of entry for people working in gig work. The company reported that in 2025, two-wheelers were used for the most significant share of deliveries in major U.S. cities such as San Francisco and Seattle, with over 21.4 million miles traveled on two wheels. However, many cities are still struggling to integrate e-bikes, which can operate at higher speeds than their conventional counterparts.
