Why time is on Iran’s side as Trump faces pressure to end conflict

Iranian President Donald Trump is under pressure to end the conflict with the United States, as both the U.S. and Israeli military have been pounding Iran's navy, missile launch sites, and other assets. However, the conflict is also affecting the president as oil prices rise and Gulf allies scramble to intercept a barrage of Iranian drones. Experts suggest that Iran is intentionally delaying the war, betting it can outlast the pain inflicted by the constant strikes from American and Israeli fighter jets and warships better than Trump. The president launched “Operation Epic Fury” almost two weeks ago to destroy Iran’s navy, ballistic missiles, the country’�s nuclear program, and cut off the Islamic Republic's support for regional proxy groups. Despite this success, retired Vice Adm. John Miller, who commanded U-S. Naval Forces Central Command, said even if Iran survives, it would no longer pose a threat as a potential nuclear-armed state.
