Northern Lights Weekend Forecast: Aurora Could Be Visible In 10 States Saturday

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has predicted that ten states could see the aurora borealis over the weekend due to a geomagnetic storm that has been upgraded from minor to moderate levels. The Kp index on Saturday night could indicate that the northern lights could move further south and appear brighter. However, NOAA's viewing line for this weekend will be affected by a smaller region. Forecasters also predict that enhanced solar wind conditions are expected through Monday. The best time to see the northern Lights is between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m., which could extend as geomagnificent.
