New Scotty’s House facility aims to serve more children across the Brazos Valley

The construction of a new facility for child abuse victims in the Brazos Valley, Texas, has been celebrated as a significant milestone during Brazos County's Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month. The new facility, which is currently undergoing renovation, is expected to significantly expand its services and is designed to meet regional needs while maintaining a focus on trauma-informed, child-centered care. The project is supported by over $10 million in donations, the largest fundraising effort in the organization's history. The ceremony also included a pinwheel planting of the 1,019 children served by Scotty's House in 2025.
