‘My baby could have been a part of that’: Neighbors shaken after four people shot at unauthorized event at Howe Park

Shooting occurred at an unauthorized event at Howe Park in Sacramento County, California, causing four people to be shot and one grazed by a bullet. The ages of the victims, ages 21, 25, and 23, were confirmed. The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that three people were transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition. The shooting occurred at around 6:30 p.m. Saturday at an event that was not authorized and was reportedly "possibly" related to the UC Davis Picnic Day. Three people have been detained in Fairfield, possibly in relation to this incident, but their involvement is not clear. The incident remains under investigation.
