Federal prosecutors are asking a judge to dismiss charges against two Louisville officers accused of falsifying the warrant that led to Breonna Taylor's death six years ago. The charges against former Louisville detective Joshua Jaynes and former Sgt. Kyle Meany were dismissed in a court filing, stating they were "in the interest of justice." A hearing is scheduled for April 3. The death of Taylor, a 26-year-old Black woman, was highlighted as an example of injustice Black women face. The only officer serving time related to Taylor's killing is Brett Hankison, who was sentenced to 2 years and nine months in prison and 3 years of supervised release for firing 10 shots into Taylor's windows on the night she was killed.
