The proposed tax hike would include two positions from the Mayor’s Office (Public Information Officer and Chief of Staff), four positions from Parks and Forestry, and $9,810.78 from the Reserve for Uncollected Taxes (RUT). Other options include major layoffs to full-time employees and significant reductions to summer programs. The budget was unanimously amended to reflect the tax hike.
