Fox 2 Detroit anchor Taryn Asher was fired, according to her attorney

Veteran TV news anchor Taryn Asher has been fired by Fox 2 Detroit (WJBK-TV) in what her lawyer describes as a case of gender discrimination. Asher, who has been off the air since November 2025, has not been publicly identified as the reason for her dismissal.
