Apple is rumoured to be revamping its iOS multitasking system specifically for the iPhone Fold, with a left-hand side bar and side-by-side app views being among the rumored changes. The device is expected to debut in late 2026 and resemble an iPad mini when unfolded. The report also revealed that the phone will feature Touch ID, not Face ID, and that it will be located in the side button. However, it is not expected to run iPadOS, meaning users will not have access to the iPadOS 26 windowed multitasking. The high price tag of the foldable iPhone is also expected to make it more appealing for watching video.
