Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing is nearly finished, but already small creatures are making it their home

The National Wildfire Federation has begun construction on a bridge over the 101 freeway in Agoura Hills, intended to aid mountain lions and other wildlife facing "genetic isolation" caused by the freeway. The Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing is expected to be completed this year and has already attracted small creatures such as western fence lizards, butterflies, and several species of birds. Beth Pratt, Regional Executive Director of the California Regional Center of the National Wildlife Federation, expressed her excitement about seeing the first animal to cross the bridge.
