The escaped 9-month-old capybara, named Samba, has been on the loose from Marwell Zoo in southern England, after slipping out of her enclosure just days after arriving at the new zoo. While her companion, Tango, was quickly recovered within the zoo grounds, Samba has remained on-the-range. She has reportedly traveled approximately four miles through the Hampshire countryside and may be hiding near the River Itchen. The search continues using drones, sniffer dogs, thermal imaging cameras, and humane traps. Experts suggest that Samba's natural instincts may help her stay out of reach.
