The first look at IndyCar's National Mall race course

The Freedom 250 Grand Prix is set to take place on the National Mall in D.C. on August 22-23. The event is part of the NTT IndyCar Series and is free and open to the public. Officials have unveiled a 1.7-mile circuit, event designs, and a patriotic show car. The course will be framed by the Capitol, Washington Monument and Smithsonian museums. The buildout will begin this summer.
