The team's funding formula includes $1.5 billion from the state, plus any cost overruns, from Haslam Sports Group. The state's budget also requires the transfer of more than $1 billion from unconfirmed funds for other projects yet to be selected. However, a Franklin County magistrate has placed the transfer on hold pending the outcome of the case. The stadium and mixed-use development on 178 acres have been approved.
