Dee Haslam on Browns stadium: No Plan B despite $600M state funding holdup

Browns owner Dee Haslam remains confident that Ohio will deliver on its promise for the team's new indoor stadium, despite ongoing litigation over the use of unclaimed funds for stadium purposes. The team's funding formula includes $1.5 billion from the state, plus any cost overruns, from Haslam Sports Group. The state's budget also requires the transfer of more than $1 billion from unconfirmed funds for other projects yet to be selected. However, a Franklin County magistrate has placed the transfer on hold pending the outcome of the case. The stadium and mixed-use development on 178 acres have been approved.
