The creator of Solana's BONK token, Nom, has stated that most memecoin teams lack the staying power to push their projects through regulatory steps. He cited exchange listings, ETF filings, and public-company structures as the markers that distinguish tokens that last longer than retail. BONk Holdings, which rebranded from Safety Shot in 2025, holds roughly 2.7% of BonK's circulating supply and aims to hold around $115 million in token holdings by the end of 2026. The announcement was made at the ongoing Consensus Miami.
