The Maine Whoopie Pie Festival, a festival dedicated to the state's official state treat, has been voted the second-best specialty food festival in America by readers. The Delta Hot Tamale Festival in Greenville, Mississippi also ranked at No. 1. The festival, which includes eating contests, arts and crafts, a Kids’ Zone, and a performance by the festival’s performers, is part of the 2026 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.
