Shohei Ohtani, a two-way star for the Dodgers, performed well in a 4-1 win over the Cleveland Guardians, throwing six scoreless innings to set off what the team hopes to be his best season yet with the club. Despite only making two starts this spring, Ohtor came out well, retiring his first seven batters and allowing no hits until the fourth. He also collected two strikeouts each with his sweeper, splitter and curveball, and throwing the latter 21 times, the second-most in his career. The Dodgers are hoping to use Ohtoni's strong arm more heavily in their efforts to boost his Cy Young chances by giving him a more traditional starter's workload and prioritizing his late-season availability. The team's schedule for the game was disrupted due to rain and poor performance by the team's new Uniqlo Field at Dodger Stadium.
