Spreading brush fire shuts down I-8 near Campo

A brush fire that quickly spread to 30 acres has closed both sides of Interstate 8 near Campo, California, causing significant disruption to traffic. The fire, named the "Thorn Fire", was quickly spread in heavy fuels and spread rapidly. The closure of I-8 and the replacement of the highway is currently unclear.
