Randy Williams, known as the Sultan of Slowjamastan, has created a fictional 'nation' in California, where 25,000 self-proclaimed citizens have pledged their allegiance to the country. The Republic is named after the country's laws prohibit Crocs and reply-all emails. The national animal is a raccoon. The country now boasts its own police force, fire trucks, and EMTs. Despite initial efforts to visit every UN-recognised country, Williams decided to create a country based on his creative thinking. He purchased the land in 2021 and began building a replica of the country with police cars, coins, and immigration booths.
