The use of AI in the workplace is increasing, with half of all US employees now using it at work at least a few times a year, according to Gallup. This is the highest-ever reported rate of AI usage in the workforce. However, many of these employees also don't know their employers' AI strategy. The survey also found that 41% of respondents said their employers had begun incorporating AI tools to boost organizational efficiency, a higher figure than the 28% of employees who are using it weekly. However this increase has led to internal restructuring within organizations, with 27% reporting major changes to employee headcount compared to 17% of those working for companies that haven't adopted AI. While two-in-three respondents said AI has made them more productive at work, only 12% felt it's significantly impacting their work.
