The Fearless Congress 2026 in Guadalajara, Mexico, is being criticized for advocating traditional gender roles and discourses associated with the "manosphere". The event, set for April 17-19, features right-wing celebrities such as Eduardo Verástegui, Carles Puyol, Jordan Peterson, and Isabel Rojas Estapé. Among the sponsors of the congress are the state government of Jalisco and the municipal governments of Guadadalajura and Zapopan, all headed by members of the Citizens’ Movement party (MC). Critics argue that these statements reinforce traditional gender stereotypes and shift the complexity of male issues to a conservative vision with a strong religious component. Tickets for the three days event cost between 7,490 and 1,450 pesos (US $82).
