Colorado weather: Snow in the mountains, thunderstorms in Denver

A storm is expected to bring inches of fresh snow to Colorado's mountains and douse Denver with afternoon showers. The National Weather Service predicts that the most significant snowfall will occur in the Front Range mountains, south of Interstate 70. A winter weather advisory will be in effect for parts of Boulder, Chaffee, Clear Creek, Fremont, Gilpin, Grand, Jackson, Lake, Larimer, Park and Summit counties. No snow is expected for Denver.
