Michael Rosseau, CEO of Air Canada, plans to retire later this year following backlash over his condolence message following a deadly crash at LaGuardia Airport. Roscheau, who has been with the company for nearly two decades, was criticized for delivering a largely English message, which critics claimed dismissed French-speaking Canadians. The airline is required to serve customers in both English and French as a requirement. The board will begin evaluating successors, including the ability to communicate in French.
