Men’s hockey: St. Thomas downs Augustana in CCHA semifinals

St. Thomas men's hockey team defeated Augustana 2-1 in the CCHA semifinals. Alex Gaffney and Lucas Wahlin were instrumental in the victory, scoring their team-leading 18th game of the season. The victory sets up a potential for St. Thomas against Minnesota State or Michigan Tech in the championship game. The game was marked by a strong performance from Augustana's Josh Kotai, CCHA Player Of the Year. The win secures an automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament. Despite a loss, the Tommies remain hopeful about earning an at-large bid for their first year of eligibility.
