Israel Flores Ortiz, a student at Fairfax High School, has been charged with 13 counts of assault and battery. The charges stem from a series of sexual assaults on juvenile students over a period of months. The City of Fairfax Police began investigating Flores Ortiz after they were alerted on March 5 about the allegations. The Department of Homeland Security and Immigration and Customs Enforcement have stated that Flores Ortiz is in the country illegally. The school district will cooperate with police as the investigation continues.
