A box truck driver, who claimed he was transporting "parts", was arrested for human smuggling at a checkpoint near Laredo, Texas. A K-9 alerted agents to activity in the cargo area and they found seven people hiding behind a mattress. The driver, a U.S. citizen with previous convictions, is now facing federal charges. The people are being processed for deportation.
