Jevon Carter, Magic help unveil refurbished court at Oak Ridge: ‘It’s very important’

Jevon Carter, former Chicago Bulls guard, helped unveil a refurbished outdoor basketball court at Oak Ridge High School in Orlando, Florida, alongside the Magic and AdventHealth. The event was part of a larger effort to connect players with the community they play in and inspire them to connect with them. Carter, who recently signed with the Magic, used the same court he used in his youth to refurbish it. The Magic also partnered with local artist “Swishh Dreams” ACE Courts, and GAF to provide sustainable and heat-resistant paint for the court's longevity. The court was opened with a group of around 30 students who were provided lunch and team swag by the Magic. Carter: "Being a face in the community is dope and being able to come and interact with the kids is even doper.
