The third nationwide “No Kings” protest swept across San Diego County, with tens of thousands of protesters uniting over a wide range of issues against President Donald Trump's administration. The Waterfront Park protest, which began in June, saw a rise from 20,000 to approximately 40,000 people. The main issues were immigration enforcement, abortion rights, and the Israel-Palestine war. Some signs focused on Trump directly, while others focused on specific issues and entities like war with Iran, the Epstein files, government surveillance, and ICE activity. The protest was held at 18 locations across the region, with many older participants supporting younger generations.
