Northfield High School girls' basketball team defeated top-seeded Cherokee Trail 67-57 in the first Class 6A girls semifinal at the Denver Coliseum. The Nighthawks' relentless defense and aggressive play helped them secure their place in the championship. Northridge will face the winner of the other semifinal between Denver East and Highlands Ranch. The game was marked by a period of dominance from both teams. Northfield's only in-state losses were twice by Denver East, but they won in the district tournament.
