A major change to one of Walt Disney World's most iconic attractions, Cinderella Castle, is nearing completion. The iconic castle has been replaced with more gray and cream hues, reflecting its original appearance when it opened in 1971. The change is expected to be completed in 2020, in honor of the 70th anniversary of the release of Disney's Cinderella. Disney fans have expressed excitement about the update online. The updated paint will feature grays, creams, blues and touches of gold to enhance the castle's architecture.
