A commercial plane and a cargo plane almost collided at Newark Liberty International Airport on March 17. The planes were attempting to land on intersecting runways. The Alaska Airlines flight was instructed by air traffic controllers to perform a go-around, while the FedEx plane was cleared for the final approach.
