Central Florida mental health therapist discusses the topic of daylight saving disruptions, adjustments, and how to cope with these disruptions. These disruptions occur when our physical clocks change, which can disrupt our sleep and focus, can also impact our MOOD and FOCUS. The therapist suggests that losing just one hour of sleep, or losing an entire hour, can cause a person to struggle to adjust their body's clocks. She suggests that while our brains are trying to adjust to this one hour, our bodies don't auto-automatically adapt quickly due to the change in our clocks. The author shares her personal experiences with clients and family members, including a six-month-old and two-and-a-half-year-old who struggle to adapt to the changes.
