Oscars Set New Rules: No AI in Major Acting, Writing Categories

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has updated its rules regarding the use of artificial intelligence in major events. Performances must be performed by humans with their consent to qualify for acting awards, and scripts must be human-authored to be eligible for Oscars. The changes also allow the Academy to request more information about AI's use in projects.
