Trump Admin Strikes Deal With Energy Firm to Nix Offshore Wind Plans

TotalEnergies, a global energy corporation based in France, has agreed to drop leases for projects off North Carolina and New York, and instead reinvesting the money into an LNG project in Brownsville, Texas. The agreement was signed at the CERAWeek by S&P Global conference in Houston. The decision was confirmed by both the U.S. Department of Interior and TotalEnergie.
