The Omaha Tribe of Nebraska has suspended its chairman, Jeffrey Gilpin, for what they allege is his role in inciting violence and unrest to disrupt tribal proceedings. The tribe claims that Gilpin has attempted to suspend council members without due process and has now suspended him for 30 days. The Tribe is now in a state of emergency due to potential threats to its headquarters.
