‘Always comes around’: Community rallies to help woman with kidney disease find living donor

Community members and a local church in Union County, North Carolina, have joined the effort to find a living kidney donor for a local mother. The public is urged to undergo medical screening, which can assist more than one person waiting for a transplant. The National Kidney Registry's kidney donation swap program allows a donor to provide a kidney to a recipient in exchange for a compatible organ for their own friend or family.
