Dana Erickson, CEO at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, saw her total pay rise to $4.9 million last year, despite red ink at the state's largest Medicare insurer increasing and threatening benefits for seniors. The Eagan-based health insurer said pay reflected performance in earlier years, but did not disclose specifics. Erickson received $1,457,692 in salary, $3,305,572 in bonus pay and $166,808 in other types of compensation in 2025. Despite a $353 million net loss on operations last year being the worst since Erickson became CEO four years ago, most of her pay last year reflected incentive payments for financial performance between 2022 and 2024. Blue Cross in 2025 saw total enrollment grow to more than 3 million people, the highest membership in its 93 years of doing business.
