Bird flu discovered near Pickering, Thirsk and Malton - Defra

The H5N1 virus has been discovered at a site in North Yorkshire, believed to be the sixth site in the region to have recorded an outbreak since October. The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) announced that all poultry birds on the premises will be humanely culled. The location of the discovery has not been disclosed.
